Synergy Dance studio to open at Sydney’s North Beach venue

The Synergy dance studios at North Beach will be the first in Sydney to open, after it was revealed a former North Beach store had been redeveloped into the new venue.

The North Beach building on Sydney’s north shore has been converted into a studio and dance club, with a cafe and lounge.

“The location has been a favourite spot for many dance studios, but this is our first and most important project,” Synergy chief executive officer Matthew Stowe said.

“It’s been a long time coming and this is a big step for us, a huge step in the right direction for us and for Sydney.”

Mr Stowe has spent the last six years redeveloping the old North Beach music store, where his business, The Dance House, was founded.

“There’s a lot of history in this building and we’re really excited to start the transformation,” Mr Stowe told news.com.au.

“We have a new cafe and we’ve got a new lounge and we want to start that very soon.”

Mr Stocker said the North Beach studio was the first of its kind in Sydney.

“I think it’s going to be a real hit with the people coming in and it will be great for the neighbourhood,” he said.

The cafe and bar will be open seven days a week and has seating for up to 200.

“For us it’s a place where we can have a bit of a change and we can relax, have a little bit of an evening,” Mr Stocker added.

“You can be dancing and be chatting and you can be having fun and having a good time.”

The North Beaches area is the hub for the burgeoning dance scene in Sydney, and the new cafe will be a great addition to the area.

The venue will also feature a lounge with outdoor seating, with live music and a cinema, and a DJ booth.

Mr Stoe said the cafe and dance space would also include “a little bit more of a lounge and a bit more space for the club to expand”.

“There will be different areas where people can come and hang out, have some drinks, have their headphones on, have an audience,” he told newscom.com, adding that the club would also be open for casual dancing.

“That will be something that’s going on from Monday to Friday.

It’s just something that we’re building and it’s something we’re very excited about.”

The venue is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in January 2019.
