Award-winning animated feature “The Jungle Mindset” won Best Animated Feature at the 69th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday night, becoming Disney’s first Oscar win for a feature film that didn’t include music.
“The Lion King” and “Winnie the Pooh” rounded out the top three nominees.
The film also won best musical score and best original score, becoming the second-consecutive Oscar win by a Disney animation film.
The Oscar for best original music went to John Williams’ “A Hard Day’s Night.”
The “Beauty and the Beast” musical was also honored for best musical number.
The other two animated feature wins were “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” for best animated short and “The Incredibles” for top animated short.
Disney animated feature movies won three Oscars: best animated film, best music video and best animated picture.
“Beautiful,” “The Book of Life” and the “Frozen” sequel won best animated features.
Disney’s “Finding Dory” won best original animated feature and best children’s film.
